A bottle quill capper, also known as a spindle capper, is a machine that tightens bottle caps onto containers using rotating quills or spindles. The quills or chuck apply force to the cap to turn it, similar to how a human hand would. Chuck or rotary cappers grab a cap and turns it down onto the bottle. An Inline capper turns the cap down by hitting one side in one direction, and the other side in another direction. Inline quill cappers are typically used after the bottle filler and prior to the bottle entering into an inline bottle labeler machine. Cappers can be used with a wide variety of container configurations and material types. Used inline bottle cappers are most commonly found in liquid bottling production facilities in almost any industry.
