Stainless steel balance tanks are used in a variety of industries, including food processing, dairy, and wastewater treatment. Balance tanks are a key part of the pasteurization process, storing unpasteurized product from the flow diversion valve and maintaining a constant working level. This ensures a uniform head pressure to the HTST booster pump and helps maintain higher pressure on the pasteurized side of the heat exchanger. Balance tanks can also prevent air from entering a pasteurizer by sloping the outlet pipe downward at a specific degree of angle.
