Air Knife Bottle Container Drying System with Centrifugal Blower

An air knife bottle cleaner is an industrial drying and cleaning system that uses a high-velocity, laminar, or “curtain” of air to remove moisture, dust, and debris from bottles, cans, and jars on a production line. It is commonly used before labeling, coding, or packaging to ensure a clean, dry surface. A centrifugal blower forces pressurized air into a plenum chamber, where it exits through a precision-engineered narrow slot to create a laminar (smooth and non-turbulent) sheet of air. This air “blade” hits the bottle surface at high speeds—sometimes exceeding 450 mph—to shear away liquids or particulates. Removes rinse water or condensation so adhesives stick properly and labels don’t peel or wrinkle. Clears away excess rinse water after a washdown to prevent microbial growth and ensure a food-safe environment. Prepares a dry, clean surface for high-speed ink jet or laser coding systems to ensure legible date codes and serial numbers. By automating the drying and cleaning process, these systems allow conveyor lines to run at much higher speeds than manual methods.
